When you volunteer at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, you make friends, become a “Part Of The Art” and help bring our events, with your mark, to life. Volunteers are the HEART of our art center! Join us according to your time, talents and interest. There are no “small parts” whether you want to usher or Ambassador a committee, in every way, we need you– today!

Ambassadors and volunteer Leadership TeamS:

Imagine volunteering like riding in a big yellow school bus. The Ambassador drives the bus, the Volunteers in each leadership team support and provide service in all shapes, colors and sizes for Kayenta Arts Foundation (KAF) and Center for the Arts at Kayenta (CFAK). Regular team meetings and get togethers as needed and desired will be a part of the overall vision for this “Heart of the Art” Volunteer Organization! Contribution is satisfying, hard work at times, but mostly fun! Make friends and make a difference!

Housing Team:

The Housing Team provides for the lodging of artists and select guests during events and performances. Developing new relationships, being a housing host and helping visiting artists feel welcome and appreciated are all possibilities when you join this team.

EVENT RECEPTION AND SOCIAL Team:

The Event Reception and Social Team assists in purchasing, preparing, setting-up, serving and striking various pre and post-show receptions, socials and parties. They provide a friendly, welcoming, and hospitable atmosphere for theater patrons and members attending these activities.

Beautification Team:

The Beautification Team provides for seasonal and special event decorations to create a festive atmosphere. Set up may include seasonal, holiday or special event decor.

Festival Support Team:

The Festival Support Team assists Staff and Festival Organizers with acquisition, training and coordination of volunteers. Meeting with Festival Coordinator to assist with tasks before during and after major events such as: Art In Kayenta, Street Painting Festival, Festival of the Americas and KARMA Fest.

Outreach Team:

The Outreach Team is responsible for community engagement. This committee ensures that The Center For the Arts at Kayenta has a presence in events such as Swiss Days, Rodeo Days, Heritage Days, Jubilee of Trees, Dickens Festival, Expo’s, Fairs and major events in the region.

Gala and Fundraising Team:

The Gala and Fundraising Team assists with several major events and gatherings that raise funds for the Center For the Arts at Kayenta, including the annual fall Commemorative Celebration, Spring Gala and Wine Party.

Concessions and Ushers Team:

The Concessions and Ushers Team manage the sale and set-up of concessions at all shows and events and create a wonderful atmosphere so guests feel they are a part of the art.
