Warp Trio is NOT your typical band. Warp Trio is a cross between chamber music ensemble, rock band and art project. Whether performing in a nightclub, gallery space or concert hall, Warp Trio is transporting audiences to the next level of concert experience.

Since their inception at the beginning of 2014, Warp Trio has maintained a broad range of repertoire ranging from traditional classical to their own original compositions and virtuoso arrangements of music spanning several different genres. They have performed as individuals all over the planet, and as a trio have begun to make their mark on the classical music scene with their energizing performances throughout the U.S. 

Biography of Lead Singer:
Daniel Henri Emond is a Queens-based singer and composer for Musical Theatre who prefers to write his bio in 1st person.
My rock opera KILL THE WHALE: A MUSICAL ODYSSEY, based on Moby-Dick, has seen development in Polyphone Festival, Yaddo, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Corkscrew Festival, NYU, the Melville bi-Centennial Conference, and Nantucket Theatre Workshop. Winner of the National book award Nathaniel Philbrick, is a fan! Although my passion is for writing musicals, I grew up playing and singing the American popular music of the 1970’s, and the influence of the rock, folk, soul, and psychedelia of that era can be heard in my original music and live performances.

Warp Trio pushes the boundaries of music consumption through inter-disciplinary collaborations and eclectic programming that includes electrifying original material, dynamic interpretations of popular music, improvisation, and unique takes on classical repertoire.
