So U Comedy: Improv! The Long & Short of It

October 29th @ 7:30 pm - October 30th @ 9:00 pm

$10 – $20

So U Comedy: Improv! The Long & Short of It

Improv. The art if creating theater on the spot with no script.

This performance is unique in that if you see a show, that’s it. There will never be another performance exactly like it ever again.
The So U Comedy presents Improv Comedy – The Long & Short of It. Two evenings showcasing both short and long form improvisational comedy and theater.

Our hilarious ensemble will start each show by showcasing the fast paced games of short form improvisation. The second half of each performance will settle down into the rich theatrics (yet still very funny) of long form. Audience’s will get a taste of both ends of the spectrum as the cast of the So U Comedy creates funny jokes, skits and scenes based off of random suggestions. The show will run about 90 minutes.
Hosted by SoU Comedy Theater Director Chewi Lockhart!

 Chewi Lockhart

Originally from the greater Chicagoland area, Chewi is 6’9″ tall and is constantly on a diet. While working for a living off stage, Chewi finds enjoyment being on stage as an improvisational actor. He studied at the famous Second City in Chicago, the birthplace of improv comedy, for two years. He has worked with several improv troupes over the years, but recently with Comedy Sportz in Rock Island, IL, the Last Laugh Comedy Theater in Des Moines, IA, and Off the Cuff Comedy Theater in Cedar City, UT. He was also the Improvisation teacher at Kayenta Arts Academy. Nothing makes him feel better than making people laugh and have a good time!

Stay after the show for a fresh horror flick, just released by Vertical Entertainment and starring Center for the Arts at Kayenta Executive Producer Jan Broberg! Two young sisters find that all the mirrors in their estranged aunt’s house are covered or hidden. When one of them happens upon a mirror in the basement, she unknowingly releases a malicious demon. Rated R for some violence and bloody images.
