A Kurt Bestor Christmas

Coming Together

We are thrilled to welcome, for the 3rd year, Emmy-award-winning and Grammy-nominated composer and performer Kurt Bestor, performing A Kurt Bestor Christmas: Coming Together. All four shows are sponsored by Minky Couture and Stephen Wade Auto Group. The same holiday spirit will shine at this concert while the audience can rest assured that their health is always a top priority. CFAK has worked hard to ensure that the theater safe for everyone, with the audience required to wear face coverings and seating set up to achieve social distancing.

About this year’s Christmas show, Bestor says, “Despite being masked and socially distanced, this year’s shows are going to be very special. In a way, it’s a coming together after more than nine months of being apart. It’s a Utahan, me, performing for an audience full of Utahans; playing music of Christmas’ past and foreshadowing the hope and promises of Christmas’ future. I can’t imagine a more magical and heart-warming night,” said Bestor.

“Bestor has endured, and so has his Christmas concert, and that’s certainly good news during the Christmas season.”

Kurt loves playing in intimate settings like the Center for the Arts at Kayenta where he can connect with the audience and the timeless beauty of the music takes center stage with him. He says that his shows are like all the audience members being “crammed into my front room.” In 1988, Bestor recorded his first best-selling Christmas Album and, after staging a sold-out concert, a new holiday tradition started across the country. For the past three holiday seasons Bestor has shared that tradition, bringing his talents, humor and warmth to the CFAK audiences. And to make this year even more special, he has, for the first time in two decades, a new holiday album, which will surely be a celebration of the peace and joy of the holiday.

Bestor’s unique style has earned him legions of loyal fans around the world. His sound is powerful and, he hopes, “elevating,” having the capacity to evoke joy, serenity, and ecstasy. His composing and performing talents have garnered Emmy awards and Grammy nominations. He’s best known for his Christmas music, but he’s also written over forty film scores for national television and commercials. He’s played live concerts to more than half a million people in the past 28 years.

A Kurt Bestor Christmas: Coming Together is sponsored by Minky Couture and Stephen Wade Auto Group. Performances are at the Center for the Arts in beautiful Ivins, Utah. Tickets are on sale now at KayentaArts.com. Show times are Thursday, Dec. 3, Friday, Dec. 4 and Saturday Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m., and a matinee show on Friday December 4 at 3:00.
