Kayenta Acoustic Roots Music For ALL: K.A.R.M.A. Fest 2020

Two Musical Events: Kurt Bestor & Heartstrings

Can you imagine a better way to release the buildup of bad karma that’s got you down? Just being outside in one of the most heavenly places on earth while listening to live music and hanging with friends…it’s everything a body needs to feel all better. In the evenings of September 17–19 at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, two acoustic concerts will take our breath away and give it to the autumn wind. Attendees will be able to relax outdoors in socially distanced seating under the lovely southern Utah red rock mountains.

HeartStrings

Ludwig Van Beethoven was known for his music’s fire, and we’re known for our large cello gatherings. Join us for an iconic evening! In this 2nd and final installment of Beethoven’s 250th Birthday Celebration, we will be serenaded by the Cello Society of Southern Utah, conducted by Dr. Ka-Wai Yu of Dixie State University. We are thrilled to be making Dr. Yu’s lifelong dream of spreading the music of the cello possible once again.

Kurt Bestor

Kurt’s Music in High Places makes a second stop in Kayenta! All seating is outdoors and General Admission. Set on our plaza against the backdrop of CFAK and the nearby red mountains of Ivins, the atmosphere of this annual concert series is second to none in Southern Utah. Kurt Bestor loves playing in intimate settings like Kayenta. “I get to connect with the audience in ways I can’t in larger concert halls and venues.”

Attend both concerts and let music soothe your soul for a special K.A.R.M.A. Fest Price!

Special thanks to our generous Presenting Sponsors of KARMA Fest, Stephen Wade Auto and St. George Shuttle.

SOCIAL DISTANCE SEATING CHART

Knowing that the presence of art in our lives is essential, we are re-opening our doors in a healthy, safe way. The state may be at the Yellow Phase but we are maintaining the more strict Orange Phase Guidelines for Theaters.

Re-opening guidelines for all performances at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta:

  1. Social distance seating between all ticket groups (SEE SEAT MAP TO LEFT) Please purchase tickets in groups of two or more with family and friends if possible
  2. Temperature checks of all performers before each performance
  3. Mandatory mask wearing for all audience members and front of house staff
  4. Multiple hand sanitizing stations in the Center
  5. Disinfectant cleaning of theater seats, lobby and rest room surfaces after each performance
  6. Cash free transactions, we encourage online ticket purchases directly on our site.

“Only when we all feel safe will we be able to free our spirits to participate with the art being performed.”
