This March The Neil Simon Festival is once again teaming up with the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, to bring Driving Miss Daisy to audiences in the Ivins-St. George region. A witty, complex, and ultimately hopeful meditation on race relations in America, Driving Miss Daisy depicts the fraught relationship between Daisy Werthan (Jan Broberg), a 72-year old Jewish woman from Atlanta, and Hoke Colburn (Clarence Gilyard), her African American chauffeur. The audience gains insight into societal boundaries and prejudices, and sees them crumble in the face of warmth and shared humanity. Performances run March 20-23, at 7:30pm, with a Sunday 3/25 showing at 5:00pm. Advanced tickets may be purchased online at http://bit.ly/KayentaTix.
