An Evening of Beautiful Cello Ensemble Music

Have you ever seen a choir of cellists perform together? Come join us for a delightful program played by twenty-some cellists from the Cello Society of Southern Utah at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta, September 12, 2019! Featured soloists Nicole Pinnell and Brittany Gardner will perform Vivaldi’s masterwork Double Cello Concerto in G Minor and Karl Jenkins’ exquisite Benedictus with the cello ensemble. The program will also include selections from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 6, Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2, Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1, and a mashup arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody with Schubert’s Serenade. Bask in an evening of sonorous, soulful, powerful cello music.

This remarkable concert will feature diverse selections from the Classical genre, with popular arrangements and original music written for a cello ensemble of 20-30 players.

The performance will begin at 7:30pm on September 12th. Tickets are $30, and $10 for students with current ID.

SOCIAL DISTANCE SEATING CHART

Knowing that the presence of art in our lives is essential, we are re-opening our doors in a healthy, safe way. 

Re-opening guidelines for all performances at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta:

  1. Social distance seating between all ticket groups (SEE SEAT MAP TO LEFT) Please purchase tickets in groups of two or more with family and friends if possible.
  2. Temperature checks of ALL patrons and performers will be taken upon entrance into the center.
  3. Mandatory mask wearing for all audience members and front of house staff.
  4. Multiple hand sanitizing stations in the Center.
  5. Disinfectant cleaning of theater seats, lobby and rest room surfaces after each performance.
  6. Cash free transactions, we encourage online ticket purchases directly on our site.
